Congratulations on your new tattoo! At Asura Tattoo Studio, we are committed not just to creating incredible body art, but also to ensuring it heals beautifully. Proper aftercare is essential to keep your tattoo vibrant, healthy, and long-lasting.

Immediate Aftercare (First 24 Hours)
Leave the Bandage On: Your artist will cover your tattoo with a sterile bandage or plastic wrap. Keep it on for at least 2-4 hours.

First Wash: Gently wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Use your clean hands, not a cloth or loofah.

Pat Dry: Gently pat the area dry with a clean paper towel. Avoid rubbing.

Ongoing Care (First 2–3 Weeks)
Moisturize: Apply a thin layer of a recommended tattoo aftercare ointment or fragrance-free moisturizer like Aquaphor or a tattoo-specific lotion.

Keep It Clean: Wash your tattoo gently twice a day.

Avoid Soaking: No swimming, hot tubs, or long showers. Avoid submerging your tattoo in water.

No Picking or Scratching: Your tattoo will scab and peel – this is normal. Don’t pick at it or you could lose color or cause scarring.

Protect from the Sun: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. Once healed, always use sunscreen on it to prevent fading.

Long-Term Tattoo Care
Hydrate Your Skin: Regularly moisturizing your skin will keep your tattoo looking fresh.

Sun Protection: Continue using SPF 30+ sunscreen on your tattoo whenever it’s exposed.

Healthy Lifestyle: Eating well, staying hydrated, and avoiding excessive sun exposure help keep your tattoo vibrant for years.

Common Concerns
Redness/Swelling: Slight redness and swelling are normal in the first few days.

Itching: Itchiness means healing is underway. Moisturize lightly and avoid scratching.

Signs of Infection: If you notice extreme redness, pus, or severe pain, contact us immediately or consult a healthcare professional.
